Two people, two countries, two cultures, two languages, and thousands of kilometers apart. The odds of our paths crossing seemed almost impossible, yet on December 29, 2020, in Medellín, life decided to bring us together. Although we came from different worlds, we found a way to understand one another, choose each other, and build something of our own. Little by little—amidst differences, lessons learned, new customs, and plenty of love—that unexpected encounter turned into a home. Shortly after, we began our life together in Colombia, where we lived for nearly four years before a new chapter took us to the United States. There, we got engaged, had a civil wedding on December 9, and continued doing what we love most: exploring the world and collecting memories together. Dos personas, dos países, dos culturas, dos idiomas y miles de kilómetros de distancia. Las probabilidades de coincidir parecían casi imposibles, pero un 29 de diciembre de 2020, en Medellín, la vida decidió cruzar nuestros caminos. Y aunque veníamos de mundos distintos, encontramos la forma de entendernos, elegirnos y construir algo nuestro. Poco a poco, entre diferencias, aprendizajes, nuevas costumbres y mucho amor, esa coincidencia inesperada se convirtió en hogar. Poco después comenzamos nuestra vida juntos en Colombia, donde vivimos durante casi cuatro años, hasta que una nueva etapa nos llevó a Estados Unidos. Allí nos comprometimos, nos casamos por lo civil un 9 de diciembre y seguimos haciendo lo que más nos gusta: descubrir el mundo y coleccionar recuerdos juntos.

After so many destinations, so many kilometers, and so many adventures, we realized there was one experience we wanted to share differently: surrounded by the people we love most—those who have been part of our story all along. That is why we chose to say "I do" again on December 12, a date that feels so special to us. December was the month life brought us together and the month we officially became a family; now, it will also be the month we celebrate—with all of you—everything that blossomed from that unlikely meeting. Después de tantos destinos, tantos kilómetros y tantas aventuras, entendimos que había una que queríamos vivir de una manera distinta: rodeados de las personas que más amamos y que también han sido parte de nuestra historia. Por eso elegimos volver a decir “sí” un 12 de diciembre, en el mes que sentimos tan nuestro. Diciembre fue el mes en que la vida nos encontró, el mes en que nos convertimos oficialmente en familia y ahora será también el mes en que celebraremos, junto a ustedes, todo lo que nació de aquella improbable coincidencia.
